Our practice was founded by Dr. Judith Ragsdale 30 years ago to give Woodlands' kids a more personal, gentle - loving - dental experience. What a success! Parents who enjoyed this dentistry when they were youngsters are now bringing their own children to our office. And now, with this legacy backing her, Dr. Leslie Blackburn is bringing in a new era of awesome, relationship-based dentistry - with even more emphasis on relaxation, comfort, and pampering for both children and their parents.
We understand how busy life is and we want you to be able to sit back, grab a snack, cup of coffee or tea, and relax, understanding that your child's smile is in the best hands possible. We always take lots of time with your child, getting to know her, and making sure every question is answered and every concern calmed. We get it - life is too busy for a runaround and too hectic for extra stress when it comes to dental care.
That's why Growing Great Grins has all the services your child and a special-needs family member will ever need, right here in our super-cozy, extra-soothing Woodlands office.

There are of course many things we are also doing internally to reduce risk for everyone.
If you have any questions, or think we haven't addressed something, please don't hesitate to reach out.
You may have a question about an internal protocol I don't mention here.
We have spaced out our chairs to be the appropriate social distance apart, and we have also removed the toys from our game room (boo!).
Until we have passed through this pandemic time we would strongly encourage everyone to avoid the game room space.

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah.
My father was still in training to be an ENT, so we moved around a lot before settling in beautiful Jonesboro, Arkansas.
After graduating from Jonesboro High School I headed off to Provo, Utah, where I attended Brigham Young University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2003.
Although I always knew I wanted to work with children, after graduating I took a few years to look at my career options and decided in what way I would work with kids.

But did you know that proper dental care is just as important to get the best start in life as any other health-focused gift you could offer your child?
A healthy mouth and strong teeth lead to healthier bodies, higher self-esteem, and even better performance in school!
And the right dental professionals are super-important in supporting those important smiles.
Let's start with the obvious: kids who have toothaches and cavities miss more school, do less homework, and have lower grades.
No one does well when they are in pain!

You do everything in your power to take care of and protect your little ones - right down to the tiniest details like making sure they floss their teeth.
But no matter how diligent you are, stuff happens.
Tots can keep missing the same spot while brushing and - yikes! - there's a cavity-bug party going on!.
Sometimes teeth can even be so damaged or experience such extensive decay that - blimey! a tooth has to be extracted!.
Not to worry.
The team at Growing Great Grins understands.
We aren't here to criticize or scold parents or kids!
