Born and raised in New York, Dr. Sharon Stern graduated from Columbia School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1988.
After moving across the river to New Jersey, she worked for Mobile Dental Care- providing full dentistry to hospital and homebound patients throughout New Jersey.
In 1991 Dr. Stern established Gentle Dental Care in Hoboken, and has been taking care of families in the tristate area ever since.
Dr. Sterns dream of creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere has been realized here at 710 Washington Street.

The temporomandibular joints, called TMJ, are the joints and jaw muscles that make it possible to open and close your mouth.
Located on each side of the head, your TMJ is engaged when you chew, speak or swallow and include muscles and ligaments as well as the jaw bone.
Any problem that prevents this complex system of muscles, ligaments, discs and bones from working properly may result in a painful TMJ disorder.
