Dr. Sue Walker is originally from the small town of Preston, Idaho.
She received her undergraduate training at Utah State University and Idaho State University.
After moving to Portland, she completed her dental training at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene in 1990 and her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 1995.
Dr. Walker took over the Milwaukie dental practice of Dr. Orville Boyle when he retired in 1996.
Aside from her private practice, Dr. Walker has also taught at Portland Community College as a supervising dentist and has been involved as an associate professor and student mentor at OHSU.

We have updated our safety measures in our new office to include negative air pressure ventilation system and UV scrubbers in the duct work.
Each operatory and individual room has its own input and output vent that pulls the air into the duct work where it is constantly being sanitized by the UV scrubbers.

I have been a patient of Dr Walker for nearly 20 years. Despite moving between Portland and Salem several times, I have continued to see her for my dental needs. Currently residing in Salem, I am more than willing to drive to Milwaukie twice a year for my appointments. The quality of care I receive is exceptional.
The office itself is well-maintained and tastefully decorated, with its current location featuring a pleasing color scheme and high ceilings that create a sense of openness. Parking has never been an issue, and the staff takes precautions such as checking temperatures and conducting brief health screenings upon entry.
Dr Walker is a pleasure to interact with, being personable and having a great ability to tell stories and share insights that immediately put me at ease during our first meeting. She also possesses a fantastic sense of humor. I have complete confidence in her recommendations and advice regarding my dental care. I found the entire experience to be extremely pleasant. Typically, I do not enjoy visiting the dentist due to anxiety, but for the first time in a long while, I did not feel anxious and instead felt very comfortable and well cared for throughout.
Parking was convenient, with a available lot, and from the moment I entered, after a temperature check and quick Covid screening, I felt at ease. The environment was aesthetically pleasing, clean, and brand new, with friendly and attentive staff. It was clear they genuinely enjoyed their work and helping others.
The hygienist, Tracy, was exceptional, being nice, calming, and easy to converse with, and skilled at removing tarter buildup during my cleaning. Kim, the office manager, was friendly and helpful in explaining my insurance benefits and treatment plan, even emailing me that night with detailed information on insurance and treatment costs. Dr. Walker was personable, friendly, and easy to talk to, clearly caring about my needs.
I highly recommend this dentist to everyone, as they are truly exceptional.
