He knew he wanted to be in medicine and, at his stepfather's suggestion, chose dentistry as a perfect compliment for both enjoyments.
After graduating from Roosevelt High School in Honolulu, Dr. Yoshimura received his undergrad degree from the University of Hawaii and then attended the University of Iowa Dental School.
