Conveniently located at 139 Newark Avenue near the Grove Street PATH train station, Jersey City Pediatric Dentistry is your premiere location to treat and maintain the overall dental health of your baby, child or teen! Everyone from front desk, dental hygienist, and dentist made our first experience a great one! Stellar, kid-friendly service from the moment we walked in.
The receptionist offered my little one a balloon to allay her fears and talked to her with a ton of empathy. There are iPads and toys in the waiting room to keep kids entertained. We didnt wait more than 5 minutes to get our visit started. Alex was so incredibly friendly and got my little one to relax. She used lots of cartoon references and kid humor to get my little one to relax.

Dr. McPherson loves kids!
After receiving her bachelor's degree from Lincoln University and her dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, Dr. McPherson practiced community dentistry in her hometown of Boston for four years.
There, her treatment of children encouraged her to seek additional training to become a pediatric dentist.
She went on to complete three years of hospital training, first in general practice and surgery, followed by a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn.

Education
Report
Known as the "Pediatricians of Dentistry, " pediatric dentists are dentists who take special training to focus on the health, growth and development of the teeth of babies, children and teens.
We graduate from dental school, like family dentists, then undergo several additional years of hospital and/ or university specialty training to learn the best treatments for children's dental problems.
Pediatric dentists limit their practice to treating children only and focus on making each child's dental experience positive.

Insurance & Payments

We accept cash, all major credit cards and offer third-party financing through CareCredit.
As a courtesy to our patients - we will submit your claim to your PPO plan so long as it has out of network benefits and is willing to pay us directly.
The best way to know how your insurance will cover our services is for us to call them directly - which we are happy to do.
It is important to note that while we seek to maximize your benefits, we diagnose and make treatment recommendations based solely on optimal dental care rather than what insurance plans may or may not cover.
