Owner
Dr. Owens earned his DDS from the University of Missouri in 1996 and completed a Periodontics specialty and MS at LSU in 1999. Board-certified in periodontology and dental implant surgery, he opened his first Austin practice in 2001. He has contributed to implant research, published articles, and frequently lectures to stay at the forefront of new dental techniques. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys reading, traveling, fitness, and exploring Austin and Central Texas.

Now I am in the last phase of getting my All on 4 Bridge. I have been treated well and had no trouble getting the care I have needed along the way. I am looking forward to getting my permanent bridge in about a month.

This was my first time going to this dental office. My blood pressure indicated I was nervous. There was no need to be nervous because I was treated very well. Allison was warm, kind and very knowledgeable. She explained the procedures so good I understood and had no questions. Dr. De Guzman is so awesome and Dr. Owen all the staff are so kind and friendly to me I was nervous about getting my full arch top and bottom implant but Dr. de Guzman called me multiple times to encouraged me I'm going to be fine and he did a great job fast forward I'm 5 day post up and so excited for my shiny smile Claudia was so excellent for all the follow up she answer all of my question I'm so happy look forward for my journey to have a white confident smile !

This was my first visit to Optima and I was very pleased. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dentists make me very anxious. Everyone in this office put me at ease immediately. They are all friendly, professional, thorough, and entirely non-judgemental. My mother has worked with Dr. Kris Owens for a variety of dental work, but he was beyond patient and accommodating with her specific case of dental work over the past 1.5 years. I don't know where to start...Optima Dental is the absolute best. Dr. Panos and his team are OUTSTANDING!! From the kind friendly greeting at the door to the patient rooms, they do everything to make you feel comfortable. I had a 4-hour process and they allowed my family member to work in the conference room while she waited...4 hours! 5-stars are not enough! If you need dental surgery, bone restoration/grafting RUN don't WALK to Dr. Panos and his team at Optima you will not regret it!
