Dr. Owens
Dr. Jarvis B. Owens, known to many as Dr. Jay, found his calling in dentistry during a high school career day event. While shadowing a local dentist in his hometown of Chicago, he was inspired by the professions variety and the opportunity to form lasting relationships with patients. This experience solidified his interest, leading him to enroll in a pre-freshman summer program at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, where he explored various health professions and confirmed his commitment to dentistry.
After graduating from Morehouse with honors and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Dr. Owens took a gap year to further his education, earning a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University. He then pursued his dental degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, widely regarded as the nations top dental school.

I love Legacy Dental Co.! The atmosphere is amazing! I’ve been going since Dr. Owens opened the practice and have had no complaints. The staff is very friendly and sometimes I cry laughing in the chair haha. Dr. Owens is very personable and seems to really care about his practice and patients. Doesn’t feel like a doctors appointment but a place to chat with friends. I highly recommend checking them out! I’ll probably be going here till I die lol.

Amazing care , patient is treated with respect and kindness 🙏 The most state of the art 3D exrays and camera in color alows patient to see every tiny detail inside the mouth and even detects if there are cancer cells . Everyone in the office are highly profesional. My son ( who lives in CA ) have had his surgery done here and came back again for the next procedure . All went so well , and now I am a patient and so happy to share this with Y'all .

Dr. Owens is not only very professional and highly educated in the latest 21st century dental techniques, he’s dynamic, gracious, and personable. He is interested in his patients and making them feel comfortable. He doesn’t rush your appointment and takes time to answer any and all questions. He describes any issues you might have and he makes recommendations, if needed, to help you understand what options are available to help you make decisions about your dental health. He has the latest technology available in the dental industry. His staff is also professional and helpful and always seem happy to see you. If you have dental anxiety, or need a great dentist, give Dr. Owens a try. If your appointment is on a lucky day, you might get to see Maui - - his cute “doodle dog” office mascot.
