A California native, Dr. Amar Patel grew up in Santa Cruz and received his Bachelor of Science from UC Davis and his Doctorate in Dentistry from Temple University. Since then, he has completed continued education through the Kois Center, as well as additional training through Spear Education. Dr. Patels time at the Kois Center only grew his passion for people-focused dentistry. Hes not looking at you as another statistic or mouth to fix. Dr. Patel sees you as the person you are, with goals and dreams of a healthier smile and a happier life.

Dr Patel is the best. I give him a 10 star rating. I needed an emergency appointment. He personally called me to set it up. When I went to see him he was just so nice, made me feel welcome and this was my first time. He is very caring, understanding knowledgeable, and very professional. I would highly recommend him. Becky his receptionist is also very nice and friendly. Great office.

Changing dentists is not easy -- but my dentist retired so I needed to make a change. Dr Patel's team has made the transition easy. They are very friendly. It is enjoyable to see them. Dr Patel has invested in the latest dental technology -- and he will spend time explaining anything that you want to know. Highly recommended!

Dr. Patel and crew are absolutely top notch! I came in twice with dental emergencies. They were patient, kind, efficient, and effective. Dr. Patel did amazing work the first time I was in crisis. When I came back with a second emergency Dr. Patel got me out of pain and performed a very thorough examination. His staff then went out of their way to keep me comfortable and very quickly get me the referrals, appointments, and doctors I needed.
I can’t thank them enough for what they did that day. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Not only is he a great doctor, the man is a class act and truly cares about his patients.

Excellent service by Dr. Patel, Danielle and of course, beloved Becky! It is a happy, welcoming office - they play your music of choice - thank you for those Christmas Carols, Becky! And, they are gentle in their treatment - thank you, Danielle. Dr. Patel is thorough, kind, funny...and makes sure your needs are heard and met. I can't recommend the team more highly!

We've had a great experience with Dr. Patel, who took over for our long time dentist Dr. Callahan. My previous dentists in LA were close family friends, so when I moved up here 35 years ago I had a really hard time finding a dentist. A friend recommended Dr. Callahan, we really liked throughout the years (decades) and I was hoping he'd never retire!
The transition has been great though. The updated equipment, the accommodations for our dental insurance, and Dr. Patel himself have made even my husband want to go to him. We definitely trusted Dr. Callahan's recommendation, and this past year or so of seeing Dr. Patel has proven he made a good choice.

I’ve been going to Dr Patel since he took over practice from my former dentist. Dr Patel runs a modern office with up to date equipment and methods. He is a good problem solver and a great listener. Plus my recent cleaning with new staff was gentle yet thorough…good improvement from last couple of times
